Angela Gibson, Founder / Digital Strategy
As a seasoned advertising and interactive media professional, Angie is especially well versed in search and social media marketing. She is an evangelist in supporting the democratization of information, and transforming people from content consumers into content producers.
Since 2002, Angie has been at the center of the on-line media revolution executing strategies that carried her clients into the digital advertising arena. From her early days leading the development of Google Pay-Per-Click (PPC) for John Wieland Homes and Neighborhoods to pioneering SEO strategy and social media for the 3D World of Kaneva.com, Angie understands the opportunity online marketing has to deliver real ROI.
A graduate of Penn State University, Angie earned her undergraduate degree in Advertising and Broadcast and a Business Minor in Economics, Logistics and Public Relations.
Jared Pursell, Content Management / Production
Jared’s business background includes a management position in National Energy and Environmental Trade Shows with the Association of Energy Engineers, six years in the United States Marine Corps Reserve, and a Senior Management position with Red Oak Realty Development Group.
Jared’s passion is to guide people in the use of their gifts and talents to create ideas, tools, services and products that will help bring success to themselves and their businesses. Jared is proficient in developing web sites and social media marketing.
Carey Sherry, Administration / Finance
Carey brings over 25 years of leadership experience to the Blue Poppy Creative Marketing Team. Most recently as V.P. Controller of C.R. Bard – Urology, a $200 million global health care business.
As a Bard Urology Board Member, Carey evaluated business growth opportunities including sales, marketing and advertising programs, industry and consumer trend research. This is where her love/hate relationship with marketing began! Loving the cost effective, well-developed and executed programs that boosted revenues and stayed on budget. Loathing the programs that didn’t deliver results. Her objective was to identify and support marketing investments that produced results.
Carey has an undergraduate degree in Accounting and a Masters in Business Administration from Arizona State University. She is a supply chain guru, holding a Certificate of Advanced Strategic Supply Chain from the NAPM and Arizona State University and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Vanessa Dyon, Social Media Concierge
As Guest Services Manager for Hilton Hotels, Vanessa brings a strong background in luxury hotel management to the Blue Poppy team. Her day-to-day experiences in hospitality, the award-winning Hilton customer service training, and her desire to continually exceed customer expectations makes her a natural for social media marketing. Social Media has become the new word of mouth marketing and Vanessa understands the exponential value of happy customers!
A graduate of Penn State University, Vanessa earned her undergraduate degree in Hospitality, Hotel & Restaurant Management.
Jack Pursell, Business Development
Jack brings more than 30 years of business experience as an entrepreneur to Blue Poppy. With more than a decade in insurance sales, expanding into investments and financial planning with A. L. Williams, which later became Primerica, a subsidiary of, the fortune 500 company, Citi-Corp. In addition to sales, investments and planning, Jack also excelled in building, training, and motivating a sales force.
In 1992, Jack’s entrepreneurial spirit led him from insurance to build a very successful metro-Atlanta residential real estate development company with annual revenue topping $15 million.
